Photography is the raw material of Herbert Tilly's work, geometry is the line. His approach of photography reconsiders the boundaries of the medium using various aspects of digital technology. In terms of practice, it happens that Tilly uses photography only as a tool in order to develop multimedia projects: drawings, installations, projections.

Herbert Tilly's relation with Geometry is contemplative and experimental: each form, each sign is a question mark leading to a visual experience. Whether it plays with the subjectivity of perception or simply ignores the reality of objects, his approach leads to formal purity through a process of reduction.
